The USS Ling (SS-297) is a World War 2 era US Navy Balao Class Fleet Submarine that was commissioned late in the war. While she didn't see combat in WW2 she did serve as a training vessel post WW2.
In 1972 The Ling was donated to the Submarine Memorial Association as a museum. She is now the center piece of the New Jersey Naval Museum moored in the muddy banks of the Hackensack River in Hackensack, NJ.
